Bentley Continental GTC ADAS Calibration

The Continental GTC is the convertible variant of the Continental GT – same MLB Evo platform, same sensor hardware, but with a convertible roof mechanism that changes the windscreen dynamics. The GTC's windscreen takes more environmental stress from open-top driving – stone chips, debris, and temperature cycling are more frequent, making windscreen replacements (and subsequent camera recalibration) a more regular need than on the coupe.

ADAS Systems on Your Bentley Continental GTC

The Continental GTC (2019+) shares the MLB Evo platform with the Continental GT:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance – radar-based cruise with active lane centring
  • Lane Assist – corrective steering when drifting without indicating
  • Emergency Braking – automatic braking when a collision is detected
  • Traffic Sign Recognition – camera-based speed limit detection
  • Blind Spot Warning – rear bumper sensors for adjacent lane monitoring
  • Top View Camera – four exterior cameras for parking (optional)

The front radar sits behind the grille. The windscreen camera is behind the rear-view mirror. The GTC's convertible roof does not affect sensor positions, but open-top driving increases windscreen exposure to damage.

When Your Continental GTC Needs ADAS Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement – More Frequent on Convertibles

The GTC's open-top design means the windscreen is more exposed to stone chips, insect impacts, and thermal cycling. Windscreen replacements happen more frequently than on the coupe – and each one requires the forward camera to be recalibrated. Our windscreen calibration at £199 covers this.

After Front Bumper or Grille Repair

The GTC's front bumper and grille house the ACC radar. The convertible's lower rear weight and longer overhangs can affect front-end handling in tight spaces – parking incidents are not uncommon. Any bumper work that shifts the radar means recalibration is needed.

Touring Specification After Service Work

If your GTC has Touring Specification, any service work involving bumper removal – even for unrelated repairs – can shift the radar. If ACC or Lane Assist stopped working after a dealership visit, the radar likely needs recalibration. See all Bentley models
