How is the new Vanquish different from the old one?

The original Vanquish (2001–2007, 2012–2018) had minimal ADAS – basic parking sensors at most. The new Vanquish (2025+) is a completely different car with a full Level 2 ADAS suite. If you own the older Vanquish, calibration needs are limited to parking sensors.

Does the Vanquish use Mercedes ADAS hardware?

The sensor hardware is Mercedes-derived, but Aston Martin uses its own bespoke infotainment and integration layer. Calibration cannot follow a standard Mercedes procedure – it requires Aston Martin-specific protocols. We also calibrate the DBX and DB12.

Common Calibration Triggers for the Vanquish

Front bumper or grille repair: The Vanquish's long bonnet and low stance make front-end contact likely in parking situations. The front radar behind the grille powers ACC and AEB – any grille or bumper work triggers recalibration.

Windscreen replacement: The forward camera controls LKA, LDW, Speed Limit Recognition, and contributes to AEB. A windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration before these systems function again.
