Is the 2024 Vantage's ADAS the same as the DB12?

Yes. The 2024+ Vantage shares Mercedes-derived ADAS sensor hardware with the DB12. Both have ACC, AEB, LKA, Blind Spot Assist, and 360° camera as standard. The Vantage's more compact body means slightly different sensor positions, but calibration procedures are compatible.

My Vantage's front bumper was kerbed – does the radar need recalibrating?

If the grille or bumper was disturbed, the front radar may have shifted. On the 2024+ Vantage, this affects ACC and AEB. Even if the bumper was not replaced – just pushed or scraped – the radar alignment should be verified. We also calibrate the DBX and DBS Superleggera.

The 2024 Vantage introduced a full Level 2 ADAS suite to Aston Martin's sports car – a leap from the pre-2024 model that had little more than parking sensors. If your new Vantage's Lane Keeping Assist or Adaptive Cruise Control has faulted after a windscreen replacement, the Mercedes-derived sensors need Aston Martin-specific recalibration.

Common Calibration Triggers for the Vantage

Front bumper repair (2024+ models): The Vantage is a compact sports car with a low nose – front-end kerb strikes and parking impacts are common. The front radar powering ACC and AEB is behind the grille. Any bumper work that involves grille removal triggers recalibration.

Windscreen replacement (2024+ models): The forward camera controls LKA, LDW, Speed Limit Recognition, and contributes to AEB. A windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration – our £199 service.

Parking sensor issues (all years): Both pre-2024 and current Vantage models have front and rear parking sensors. Bumper repairs on any generation Vantage can displace these sensors, causing false proximity warnings.
