Aston Martin Vantage ADAS Calibration

The 2024 Vantage introduced a full Level 2 ADAS suite to Aston Martin's sports car – a leap from the pre-2024 model that had little more than parking sensors. If your new Vantage's Lane Keeping Assist or Adaptive Cruise Control has faulted after a windscreen replacement, the Mercedes-derived sensors need Aston Martin-specific recalibration.

ADAS Systems on Your Aston Martin Vantage

The Vantage has two very different ADAS configurations depending on the year:

Pre-2024 Vantage:

  • Front and Rear Parking Sensors – ultrasonic sensors in both bumpers
  • Rear Camera – reversing camera
  • No ACC, no LKA, no AEB in the DB12 sense

2024+ Vantage (current generation):

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – front radar behind the grille
  • Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Braking – radar and camera-based AEB
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen camera behind the rearview mirror
  • Blind Spot Assist – rear-quarter sensors
  • Rear Cross Traffic Assist – rear sensors for reversing safety
  • 360° Surround View Camera – four exterior cameras
  • Speed Limit Recognition – camera-based sign reading

The 2024+ Vantage shares its ADAS hardware with the DB12 – Mercedes-derived sensors with Aston Martin-specific software integration. The generational gap means pre-2024 owners have minimal calibration needs, while 2024+ owners face full Level 2 requirements.

Common Calibration Triggers for the Vantage

Front bumper repair (2024+ models): The Vantage is a compact sports car with a low nose – front-end kerb strikes and parking impacts are common. The front radar powering ACC and AEB is behind the grille. Any bumper work that involves grille removal triggers recalibration.

Windscreen replacement (2024+ models): The forward camera controls LKA, LDW, Speed Limit Recognition, and contributes to AEB. A windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration – our £199 service.

Parking sensor issues (all years): Both pre-2024 and current Vantage models have front and rear parking sensors. Bumper repairs on any generation Vantage can displace these sensors, causing false proximity warnings.

Aston Martin Vantage Calibration Pricing

ServicePrice
Windscreen Calibration£199
Radar/Sensor Calibration£349
Collision Calibration£349
Full System Reset£499

For 2024+ Vantage owners, front-end bodywork typically triggers a £349 radar calibration covering the grille radar and up to two additional sensor systems. Pre-2024 owners usually need parking sensor calibration only.

Aston Martin Vantage ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Aston Martin Vantage

The pre-2024 Vantage has minimal ADAS – parking sensors and a rear camera. Unless your parking sensors are misbehaving after bumper work, you do not need ADAS recalibration. The full suite starts with the 2024 model year. See all Aston Martin models we calibrate
