Aston Martin DB11 ADAS Calibration

The DB11 was Aston Martin's grand tourer before the ADAS revolution – it has parking sensors and a rear camera, but not the full Level 2 suite introduced on the DB12. That does not mean calibration is irrelevant. If your DB11's parking sensors have been misbehaving since a bumper repair, the ultrasonic sensors need realignment – and on a vehicle worth upwards of £120,000, precision matters.

ADAS Systems on Your Aston Martin DB11

The DB11 (2016–2023) carries minimal driver assistance compared to Aston Martin's current range:

  • Front and Rear Parking Sensors – ultrasonic sensors in both bumpers providing proximity warnings
  • Rear Camera – reversing camera integrated into the boot area
  • Optional Blind Spot Assist – available on late-production models

The DB11 does not have Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, or Automatic Emergency Braking. These systems arrived with the DB12. If your DB11 has cruise control, it is conventional (non-adaptive) and does not require radar calibration.

When Your DB11 Might Need Sensor Calibration

After front bumper repair: The DB11's low GT profile makes front bumper damage common – kerb strikes, parking barrier contact, and stone chips to the lower grille. The front parking sensors are embedded in the bumper. If they are giving false proximity warnings or not responding after bodywork, they need recalibrating.

After rear bumper repair: The rear parking sensors and reversing camera can both be displaced during rear bumper work. If the camera feed looks misaligned or the parking sensors give inaccurate distance readings, recalibration restores accuracy.

After a respray or bumper replacement: Paint thickness on the bumper surface can affect ultrasonic sensor performance. If sensors were removed and refitted during a respray, their alignment may have changed.

Most DB11 owners need parking sensor recalibration after bumper work. The DB11's simpler system means a straightforward appointment – but the same OEM-grade precision we apply to the full ADAS suites on the DB12 and DBX.

Aston Martin DB11 ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Aston Martin DB11

The DB11 has far fewer systems to calibrate – parking sensors and a rear camera rather than the DB12's full Level 2 ADAS suite. However, the sensors it does have still require professional recalibration after bumper work. See all Aston Martin models we calibrate
