Aston Martin DBX ADAS Calibration

The DBX is the most common Aston Martin on UK roads – an SUV used as a daily driver, seeing body shop visits far more frequently than the GT range. It also carries the most comprehensive ADAS suite in Aston Martin's lineup, with both forward and rear radar sensors. If your DBX's Adaptive Cruise Control or Blind Spot Assist has flagged a fault after bumper work, multiple sensor systems may need recalibrating.

ADAS Systems on Your Aston Martin DBX

The DBX and DBX707 (2020+) carry the most sensor-dense configuration in Aston Martin's range:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) – forward radar behind the front grille area
  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – dual-input from front radar and windscreen camera
  • Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) – windscreen camera behind the rearview mirror
  • Blind Spot Assist – rear-quarter sensors monitoring adjacent lanes
  • Rear Cross Traffic Assist – rear radar sensors detecting approaching vehicles when reversing
  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) – camera-based speed limit detection
  • 360° Surround View Camera – four cameras (front, rear, both mirrors)
  • Front and Rear Parking Sensors – ultrasonic sensors in both bumpers

The DBX is unique in Aston Martin's range for having both forward and rear radar sensors. The rear radar powers Rear Cross Traffic Assist – a system absent from the GT models. The DBX707 carries the same ADAS hardware with a more powerful AMG engine.

Why Your Aston Martin DBX Needs Recalibration

After front bumper or grille work: The DBX sees more parking and urban driving than any other Aston Martin. Front bumper repairs from car park impacts are common. The front radar powering ACC and AEB sits behind the grille – any work in this area triggers recalibration.

After rear bumper repair: Unlike the GT models, the DBX has rear radar sensors powering Rear Cross Traffic Assist. A rear bumper repair can displace these sensors alongside the blind spot sensors in the rear quarters. If RCTA or Blind Spot Assist warnings have appeared after rear bodywork, the sensors need realignment.

After windscreen replacement: The forward camera handles LKA, LDW, TSR, and contributes to AEB. Every windscreen replacement on the DBX requires camera recalibration.

As a daily-driven SUV: The DBX accumulates bodywork incidents faster than the weekend-only GT range. School runs, supermarket car parks, and motorway driving all expose it to the kind of damage that triggers ADAS recalibration. Our guide to ADAS after accident repair covers what to check.

Aston Martin DBX ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Aston Martin DBX

The DBX707 carries the same ADAS sensor hardware and system configuration as the standard DBX. The "707" refers to horsepower. Calibration procedures are identical between both variants. See all Aston Martin models we calibrate
