Alfa Romeo Giulietta ADAS Calibration

The Giulietta was Alfa Romeo's compact hatchback – discontinued in 2020 and built on a pre-Giorgio, pre-Stellantis platform with minimal ADAS. Later models (2014+) offered basic Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning, but no automatic emergency braking, no adaptive cruise control, and no Highway Assist. The ADAS that exists is still safety-critical and requires calibration after windscreen or bumper work.

ADAS Systems on Your Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The Giulietta (2014–2020) carries a basic ADAS specification:

  • Forward Collision Warning – alerts to imminent collisions, but does not brake automatically
  • Lane Departure Warning – audible alert when crossing lane markings without indicating

The Giulietta lacks AEB, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assistance – these are features found on the newer Giorgio-platform Giulia and Stelvio. The forward camera is behind the windscreen, and any collision warning radar was a simple proximity sensor rather than a full-range unit.

When Your Alfa Romeo Giulietta Needs Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The Giulietta's windscreen camera – however basic – still powers Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning. When the glass is replaced, this camera needs recalibration. Our windscreen calibration at £199 covers it.

After Front-End Repair

If your Giulietta has a front proximity sensor for collision warning, bumper repairs can shift this sensor. A diagnostic scan confirms whether recalibration is needed.

Minimal ADAS, Still Needs Attention

The Giulietta's ADAS is limited, but the systems it does have are safety-relevant. Driving with a miscalibrated LDW or FCW is worse than having no system at all – false alerts or missed warnings create hazards. See all Alfa Romeo models

Alfa Romeo Giulietta ADAS Calibration — FAQ

Common questions about calibrating ADAS systems on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta

No. The Giulietta has Forward Collision Warning, which alerts you to an imminent collision, but it does not brake automatically. AEB is available on the newer Giulia (MY2020+), Stelvio, and Tonale.
