Aston Martin DBS Superleggera ADAS Calibration

The DBS Superleggera – and its final edition, the DBS 770 Ultimate – sits at the top of Aston Martin's GT range. It carries limited ADAS compared to the newer DB12 generation: Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, and parking sensors. But on a vehicle valued at £250,000+, even these systems demand specialist attention after bodywork.

ADAS Systems on Your Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

The DBS Superleggera and DBS 770 Ultimate (2018–2023) have a reduced ADAS package:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) – camera and radar-based forward collision mitigation
  • Blind Spot Detection – rear-quarter sensors monitoring adjacent lanes
  • Front and Rear Parking Sensors – ultrasonic sensors in both bumpers
  • Rear Camera – reversing camera for parking assistance

The DBS does not carry Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, or the full Level 2 suite introduced on the DB12. The DBS 770 Ultimate was the final production model, discontinued in 2023.

When Your DBS Superleggera Needs Calibration

After front bumper repair: The DBS's aggressive front splitter and low ride height make front-end contact a regular occurrence. The AEB sensor in the front bumper area needs recalibration after any repair, replacement, or even removal for access to other components. If the AEB warning is active on your dashboard after body shop work, the sensor has shifted.

After rear-quarter panel or side repair: Blind Spot Detection sensors are positioned in the rear quarters. Body shop work to these panels – including paint correction and panel alignment – can shift the sensors enough to cause false alerts or missed detections during lane changes.

After rear bumper work: The parking sensors and rear camera are integrated into the rear bumper. Repairs, replacement, or respray work can affect sensor accuracy and camera alignment.

No. The DBS has a limited ADAS package – AEB, Blind Spot Detection, and parking sensors. The DB12 introduced the full Level 2 suite with ACC, LKA, Lane Change Assist, and 360° camera. The DBS predates Aston Martin's ADAS upgrade. See all Aston Martin models we calibrate
