Avatr targets UK deliveries from 2026 to 2027. Right-hand-drive production is underway. Our workshops are preparing for Huawei ADS calibration.

What makes the Avatr 11 different from the 12?

The Avatr 12 is a fastback sedan with similar ADS hardware but different body proportions – different sensor positions for LiDAR and cameras. The 2026 Avatr 12 adds a fourth LiDAR on the rear bumper. The 06 is the compact SUV. See all Avatr models

Can any UK garage calibrate Huawei ADS?

Very few. Most UK centres handle camera and radar only. LiDAR alignment and Huawei ADS diagnostic access require specialist equipment that most providers will not have at UK launch.

Thirty-four sensors, three LiDAR units, and a 400 TOPS computing platform – the Avatr 11 uses Huawei's ADS 2.0 to deliver near-autonomous driving capability through a sensor array that rivals anything on the road. The GOD Network does not just detect cars and pedestrians – it uses neural networks to identify fallen objects, animals, and construction debris. When these vehicles reach UK roads, even a minor fender repair will require multi-system recalibration.

The Avatr 11 runs the full Huawei ADS 2.0 stack on the CHN platform:

When Your Avatr 11 Will Need Recalibration

After Any Body Panel Repair

LiDAR on fenders and roof, cameras across all panels, radar in bumpers – any repair displaces a sensor. The Huawei ADS platform fuses data from all 34 sensors simultaneously. One misaligned LiDAR unit degrades the GOD Network's ability to detect obstacles. A fender respray requiring panel removal shifts a LiDAR sensor out of alignment.

After Windscreen Replacement

Forward cameras behind the windscreen feed the GOD Network and GAEB. Windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration. The roof-mounted LiDAR may also need verification if windscreen work disturbed the header area.

After Bumper Repair

Front bumper work affects millimetre-wave radar. On 2026 four-LiDAR models, the rear bumper also carries a LiDAR unit – rear bumper repairs become LiDAR calibration triggers.
