When Your Alpine A290 Needs Calibration

After Windscreen Replacement

The forward camera powers AEB, Lane Keeping, ISA, and Driver Attention Alert. Every windscreen replacement requires camera recalibration. Since the A290 shares its platform with the Renault 5, the calibration procedure is well-established.

After Bumper Repair

The front bumper radar drives ACC and contributes to AEB. Any front-end work – even cosmetic bumper removal – can shift the radar. If cruise control stopped working after bodywork, radar recalibration restores it.

My Safety Switch Issues After Repair

If the My Safety Switch on the steering wheel seems to have no effect or ADAS features behave inconsistently after a repair, the underlying sensors are out of calibration. The switch is working – the systems it controls are not receiving accurate data.
